Overview:
1. Introduction With the implementation of the six-level energy efficiency standard for chargers, the demand for their solutions is becoming more and more urgent. Many charger engineers reflect that the QR architecture scheme has more efficiency margins, but the components of the PSR scheme are more complicated, and the debugging production is more complicated. In addition to providing the QR architecture PN836X product solution, Xinpeng Microelectronics has developed a more cost-effective six-level energy efficiency 7.5W charger solution based on PN8358, which is more compact and economical than the QR architecture, providing domestic cost pressure charging. The manufacturer has a new six-level energy efficiency option.
Based on PN8358 5V 1.5A six-level energy-efficient PSR power solution, the typical application is 5V1.5A charger for smart phones and tablets, 7.5W adapter for set-top box and DVD. It belongs to the same control platform as the core products PN8355, PN8356, PN8359 and PN8360. This series of products can provide 5~15W complete charger 5/6 solution.
PN8358 has the following features:
● Standby power consumption is less than 75mW: Built-in patented high-voltage start-up module saves high-voltage starting resistance.
● Efficiency meets DOE Level 6: Intelligent multiple work mode significantly improves average efficiency,
● CV, CC accuracy within 5%: built-in input voltage, DC output line compensation, can be satisfied under any working conditions ● Compact size: integrated 4.5ohm 650V intelligent power MOS, PSR optocoupler / TL431, SOP7 package ● Rich protection : With over temperature protection, VDD undervoltage protection, FB open short circuit protection, CS open short circuit protection, sufficient voltage and temperature rise de-rating margin, improve system reliability
