LanTIq and ZyXEL CommunicaTIons announced that they will support the communication function of LTE voice (VoLTE) services in the ZyXEL LTE5121 LTE multi-service gateway product. The VoLTE function is provided on the fixed network LTE gateway platform, so that system operators can better manage their network operations and strengthen their service costs, in order to provide users with wireless broadband three-in-one service.
This ZyXEL LTE5121 gateway has a rich combination of functions and is built on an all-in-one and futuristic platform, allowing system operators to deploy 4G / LTE services where fixed-line broadband cannot be quickly or easily reached. The LTE5121 gateway can also provide VoLTE service functions that will take off in the home market. System operators will be able to provide the same high-quality voice services, data services, and three-in-one audio and video services as the current wired broadband services without using them. It is limited to the last mile of copper wire or fiber optic network.
The LanTIq XWAY GRX288 broadband network processor will help LTE5121 gateway products become even more powerful when managing VoLTE software stacks, providing VoLTE native voice capabilities and the ability to handle other rich multimedia services. In addition, LanTIq also provides the voice line service chip XWAY SLIC110 required by the market for use in various products such as standard telephone terminal devices in homes or small businesses.
