Jini technical principles and characteristics
Jini is a truly dynamic service-based distributed architecture, which abstracts both devices and software as services and supports the formation and dissolution of dynamic groups. The Jini group (also known as djinn) refers to a set of devices, resources and users, and Jini software infrastructure. The Jini group is a logical network formed on an existing physical network (Local Area Network LAN or Wide Area Network WAN). The Jini group does not have to be completely mapped with the existing physical network, and multiple Jini groups can be established on one physical network.
