RKE (remote keyless entry system)
General information
The remote keyless entry system consists of a key pendant transmitter and a receiver inside the vehicle. The remote keyless entry system features car burglar alarms, door and trunk lock and unlock functions, as well as remote start and car positioning. The Remote Keyless Entry System (RKE) has become the standard or optional configuration for most current vehicles. The RKE system is also a large-scale aftermarket component. The Avnet Shanghai Design Center offers RKE turnkey solutions, MCU+RF portfolios, and single-chip solutions for high-end customers. We also designed a two-way RKE system.
Basic Information

RKE+ Immobilizer (engine anti-theft locking system) solution
General information
The engine immobilizer system is an electronic device that prevents the engine of the car from starting unless the key (or other command) is correct. The transceiver built into the key fob and the base station on the car side encrypt the transmitted password. When the ECU determines that the encoding key is valid, the ECU activates the fuel injection system.
The system designed by Avnet Shanghai Design Center uses NXP and Texas Instruments solutions.
