Researchers at the CRNS-AIST Joint Robotics Laboratory are working to control the work of robots through human thought.
“Basically, we want to create a robot that is very similar to humans both in appearance and in thought. So we are working hard to develop robots that are controlled by human brain thinking. After many attempts, the most appropriate method is By translating brainwave signals and converting them into programs to control the robot's actions," the researchers said. The researchers used a model called SSVEP to prove their experimental ideas, attracting the attention of the subjects by flashing different frequencies of the flash, and then communicating the brain waves to the robot by translating the experimental objects. Although these are only at the research stage, once the experiment is successful, we will see a paralyzed patient in Rome control the movement of a humanoid robot in Japan.
