Introduction to vortex tube
The vortex tube is also called a vortex tube. It can work normally with normal compressed air. It can split the compressed air into two streams of hot and cold in an instant. There is an adjustable knob at the outlet of the hot gas, which can be set by cold and hot air. The ratio adjusts the temperature and flow of the corresponding airflow. The Vortex Tube phenomenon was discovered by a French student in 1922. After 1960, the vortex tube was commercialized. Vortex tube principle:
As shown below: After the compressed air is injected into the vortex tube vortex chamber, the airflow rotates at a speed of up to one million revolutions per minute to the hot gas end (right) outlet of the vortex tube, and a part of the air flows out through the control valve, and the remaining gas is blocked. In the inner ring of the original airflow, it rotates in the opposite direction at the same speed and flows to the cold air end (left side) of the vortex tube. During this process, heat is exchanged between the two streams, the inner loop becomes very cold, flows out from the left side, and the outer ring stream becomes very hot, flowing out from the right side. The temperature and flow rate of the cold air flow can be controlled by adjusting the hot gas end valve of the vortex tube. The higher the proportion of the hot gas end of the vortex tube, the lower the temperature of the air flow at the cold end of the vortex tube and the corresponding decrease in flow rate.
