Haiwell PLC Application in Bar Code Detection

I. Introduction:
With the rich variety of products and the requirements for the production information management and logistics management, many product manufacturers need to attach a bar code label to each product. How to correctly identify these different products has become the key to the success of production information management and logistics information management. These requirements can be easily achieved by using a barcode detection system consisting of Haiwell PLC (sea-made PLC) and bar code readers. This is an introduction to this system application.

Second, the solution:



As shown in the above figure, the system consists of a photoelectric switch, a barcode reader, a programmable controller (Haiwell PLC), a touch screen, and a rejection mechanism.

working principle:
When the photoelectric switch detects that a product arrives, the programmable controller informs the barcode reader to read the barcode of the product. After the barcode is read, the programmable controller controls the execution of the reject mechanism after comparing with a preset barcode (the correct one is not deleted and the error is rejected). The set bar code and read bar code are displayed through the touch screen settings.

System advantages:
1, Haiwell PLC standard configuration 1 RS232 port and 1 RS485 port, and any one communication port can be used as a master station can also be used as a slave station. Any communication port can be used as a programming port or as a port to communicate with a third party device. In this application, an RS232 port is used to communicate with a bar code reader, and an RS485 port is used to communicate with a touch screen.
2. Use the free communication protocol communication instruction COMM of Haiwell PLC to realize communication with the barcode reader. All Haiwell PLC's communication functions can be implemented by one instruction. No need to program special bits or special registers or manage the communication sequence of multiple communication instructions. Multiple communication instructions can be written simultaneously under the same conditions.

Third, program design highlights:
1, the system has a barcode self-learning function: When you want to detect a new product barcode, you can put the new product barcode on the reader to read the barcode, and then press a learning confirmation key to complete the learning and storage of a new barcode The next step is to use the learning bar code and product bar code for comparison control. Of course, the bar code setting can also be manually input through the touch screen;
