WORCESTER, Mass., May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Access Fixtures today announced a new 15 watt LED bollard that meets the performance specifications of a similar styled bollard equipped with a 70 watt metal halide lamp and ballast. The new LED bollard reduces energy consumption by 80% while emitting the same amount of light output as the 70w metal halide version. With reduced energy consumption and low maintenance, the LED bollards are a green way to safely and effectively light walkways in commercial, municipal and residential areas.
“Now with only 15 watts we can match the performance of the same style bollard with a 70 watt metal halide lamp and ballast,†said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. He continued, “The 15 watt LED version reduces energy use by 80% while providing superior light quality.â€
The new light bollard uses Xicato LED modules and a Thomas Research Products driver. Previously bollard lights were frequently powered by 50w or 70w metal halide or high pressure sodium lamps and ballasts. Unfortunately, the majority of light from HID lamps was trapped inside the reflector-style bollards wasting most of the light produced. Access Fixtures’ new 15w LED bollard possesses the efficiency of LED chips, which are energy efficient and direct all the light at the reflector. A 70w MH reflector bollard has 24% luminaire efficiency while the 15w LED equipped reflector bollard features 80% luminaire efficiency. Consequently the 70w metal halide produces 816 mean lumens and the 15w LED produces mean 800 lumens. In other words they both emit about 800 lumens, but the LED version uses 80% less energy. Beyond reducing energy use by 80%, the LED bollard has superior color rendering, requires little to no maintenance over its lifetime, and still emits 70% of its initial light level at 65,000 hours.

Floor brackets are an essential component of cable tray systems. They are used to support cable trays on the floor, providing a secure and stable platform for cable management. In this article, we will take a closer look at floor brackets of cable tray systems.
What are floor brackets?
Floor brackets are metal structures that are designed to support and secure cable trays on the floor. They are typically made of steel or aluminum and come in various sizes and shapes to accommodate different cable tray configurations. Floor brackets are attached to the floor using bolts or screws and provide a stable base for cable trays to rest on.
Types of floor brackets
There are several types of floor brackets available for cable tray systems. The most common types include:
1. L-shaped brackets: These brackets are shaped like an L and are used to support cable trays that run parallel to the wall. They are typically attached to the floor using two bolts or screws.
2. U-shaped brackets: These brackets are shaped like a U and are used to support cable trays that run perpendicular to the wall. They are typically attached to the floor using four bolts or screws.
3. Z-shaped brackets: These brackets are shaped like a Z and are used to support cable trays that run at an angle. They are typically attached to the floor using four bolts or screws.
4. T-shaped brackets: These brackets are shaped like a T and are used to support cable trays that intersect with other cable trays. They are typically attached to the floor using four bolts or screws.
