At the 5th China Hangzhou Electronic Information Expo held recently, an LED company in Hangzhou revealed that it has signed a cooperation agreement with LED companies in Taiwan to undertake the transfer project in Japan.
"After the earthquake and nuclear disaster, Japan has a serious shortage of electricity. There have been cooperation between Japanese LED companies and Taiwanese companies. In the future, this trend will become more and more obvious." Secretary of China Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Industry Association Chen Wenyi said.
Chen Wenyi said that China has about 70% of the world's LED production capacity, but from the point of view of industrial division of labor, China's Taiwan and Japan, mainly in the high-end of the chip development industry, mainland China is in the middle and lower reaches of manufacturing, "Japan LED to China After the transfer of Taiwan, orders from the mainland will increase, which is an opportunity for LED companies in Zhejiang."
Hua Guichao, chairman of Infineon Electronics (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., said that he has finalized a cooperation project with Taiwan. At present, the number of semiconductor lighting companies in Hangzhou has grown from more than 60 in 2006 to more than 300 now. In 2010, the sales revenue reached 3.6 billion yuan.
