The Smart Home and Energy Gateway reference design provides a complete system solution for the measurement, management and communication of energy systems in smart homes and buildings. This design is a bridge between different communication interfaces such as WiFi, Ethernet, ZigBee or Bluetooth (usually found in residential buildings and commercial buildings). As houses and buildings are increasingly connected, the gateway design needs to be flexible to meet different RF standards because there is no single RF standard that dominates the market. This gateway addresses this issue by supporting existing legacy RF standards (WiFi, Bluetooth) and the newer RF standards (ZigBee, BLE).
