Research on Intelligent Control of Automobile Headlamps

The lighting system is one of the important components of the car's active safety. However, the huge safety hazard of the traditional lighting system with single light and only manual control has been unable to keep up with the current development of automotive safety technology. Therefore, how to make the traditional lighting system of the automobile more intelligent and eliminate the hidden dangers of safety has become a topic of great practical significance.

Based on the existing automotive lighting control technology, we propose a car intelligent lighting system control scheme that uses the curve-turning turn, the body tilting lamp adjustment, and the lack of light to automatically turn on the complement. Compared with the previous technology, the fuzzy control technology is introduced to control the following turning function, which makes the functional module more intelligent.

Basic functions of intelligent car headlight system

1 Curved turn lighting function

As shown in Fig. 1, the light of the conventional headlights is consistent with the direction of travel of the vehicle, so there is inevitably a dark area of ​​illumination. Once there is an obstacle in the corner, it is easy for the driver to prepare for it, causing a traffic accident. The specific practice of the headlights following the turn lighting is that when entering the corner, the vehicle produces a deflected light pattern as shown in Figure 2, providing sufficient illumination.

2 Illumination in rainy or under-light conditions

As shown in Figure 3, in the rainy weather, the water on the ground will reflect the light hitting the ground on the ground to the driver's eyes in the opposite car, making it dazzling, which may cause traffic accidents. The effective solution for the headlamps is that the headlights emit a special light pattern as shown in Figure 4, which attenuates the light intensity of the area where the ground may be glare. At the same time, in an environment with insufficient light intensity such as a tunnel or a mountainous area, the front illumination can be automatically turned on according to the actual situation, the light intensity is complemented, and the light intensity is automatically turned off after the light intensity is restored.

3 lighting under the condition of the body tilting

When the vehicle is driving, the angle of the vehicle's trim is changed due to the difference of the front and rear loads of the vehicle. The angle of the light emitted by the vehicle mounted on the vehicle body will also change, which will adversely affect the night driving safety. As shown in Fig. 5, the upper part is the normal headlight exit angle and the illumination range, and the middle and lower parts are the headlight angle and the illumination range in the case of backward tilting and forward tilting, respectively, and the difference is very obvious. The specific method of adjustment is to adjust the deflection angle of the vertical direction of the lamp according to the angle detected by the vehicle inclination sensor to ensure sufficient illumination distance during the driving process.
