This paper outlines an operation flow for the serial port mode programming process of the Hanfeng HF-LPB100 module. Cooperating vendors must follow the following steps when performing module write operations. Otherwise, uncontrollable errors will occur.
Operating procedures
1. Download the corresponding firmware of HF-LPB100
2. Extract the downloaded firmware package
After decompression, you will find two files, one of which is named BIN with the UART for the firmware we need.
3. Device connection
Connect the HF-LPB100 module according to the following schematic diagram. Note that nReload (pin 45) needs to input low level. This experiment is directly grounded. KEY1 implements an external reset function.
4. Serial port settings
4.1. Confirming Serial Port Parameters
After connecting the above serial port to the computer, the corresponding COM port can be seen through the "My Computer" -> "Administration" -> "Device Manager" -> "Port (COM and LPT)" options.

The serial port configuration protocol is Serial, the port is the COM port in the above paragraph 2.4.1, the baud rate is set to 115200 (key), the data bit is 8 bits, the stop bit is 1 bit, there is no parity, and finally the connection is clicked. After successful connection, there will be a blinking cursor in the SecureCRT workspace.
5. Write operation
5.1. Enter programming mode
Step 1. After the serial port is connected successfully, reset the HF-LPB100 (press KEY1 as shown in section 2.3 Schematic and release it) or power on the module again. Step 2. At the same time when step 1 is completed, click the keyboard spacebar quickly and continuously. The following message will appear to indicate that the module enters the programming mode.
Remarks: This step is not easy to operate and requires multiple tests. When entering the programming mode and the above information cannot be displayed at all times, check whether the serial port settings are correct. After ensuring that the serial port settings are correct, perform the connection operation again.
In the above window display information, each command is interpreted as follows:

| S | Upgrade the application; SDK and other compiled files are upgraded with this option. |
| G | Execute the application. |
Note: 'N', 'F', 'S' are the necessary conditions for module startup. If any of them is invalid, the module will directly enter the upgrade mode after power-on. Please input it carefully.
5.2. Writing
Step 1. Enter “S†to upgrade the application and enter “Y†to enter the firmware state.
Step 2. When the form continuously prints out “CCC....â€, select “Transfer†-> “Send Xmode(N)†in the “Menu barâ€, select the firmware file shown in section 2, and click Send.
After waiting for a while, the above message appears that the programming was successful.
