Since the project was officially put into commercial operation on January 6, 2009, it has achieved the highest operating voltage level in the world, the largest transmission capacity, and represents the highest level of international power transmission and transformation. It also marks a major breakthrough in China's long-distance, high-capacity, low-loss UHV power transmission technology and equipment localization.
